Limestone Waterway

Washington, Missouri

My town is built on hilly ground. Many sections of roadway have been cut through limestone bluffs. This stone wall at the end of my street turns into a waterfall every time we have a heavy rain. In the winter the water freezes forming icy stalactites.

I am linking this photo to Theme Thursday. This weeks theme is "Stone."

  2. A very impressive stone wall in winter and rainy weather! I imagine that it would always be fascinating!

  3. That's what it looks like around here in the UK at the minute. Maybe usual for you In Washington State: highly irregular for us.
    Great icicles.
