Railroad tracks

Railroad crossing the Bourbeuse River
Union, Missouri
The Bourbeuse may well be the king of crooked rivers - one stretch running through Franklin County near where I live spans 107.6 river miles, if it was a straight line (as the crow flies) the distance would only be 27 miles.

Settlers Rest

This old log cabin sits in the back yard of a farm in Union Missouri.
Beside it sits two other homes. One an old two story farm house of the 1920's variety and a newer brick ranch home that I would guess was built in the 1980's.

Face of the Week --- Pork Chop

Meet Pork Chop.
We recently adopted her and her sister when her owners had to move out of the country.

Christian symbol in the sand

Del Mar, California 2009

What better photo to post on a Sunday than this shot of seaweed forming a natural christian fish symbol, known as a Ichthys. I captured this while walking on the beach one day last fall.

Gazebo on the Hill

One of the highest points in Washington, Missouri is the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
You can see for miles in all directions.

I wonder, is the gazebo so the sprits can come and enjoy the view?
